INVENT a scenario in which you are investigating a sudden death scene.
This should take place in a single room (could be living room or bedroom). This
can be a room in your own home or an imaginary room or place.
State the red flags present at your scene (death scene concerns).
You are processing the crime scene for evidence and exhibits.
There will be eight (8) exhibits seized by you for further analysis. These can
include but not limited to :
Weapon(s)
Shell casings
Bullets
Drugs (illicit and prescription)
Drink containers(alcohol or otherwise)
Cigarette /joint butts tobacco products
Clothing of victim/suspect
Cell phone(s)
Any other item that you feel may contain forensic evidence (but limit it to 8).
YOU WILL STATE:
(a) How you would package the item ?
(b) What analysis you would like done with the exhibit ?
(c) Where the item will be sent for analysis (Note: some items may need to
go to several locations¥.g. a hammer may need to be fingerprinted but
also sent for DNA testing if there is suspected transfer from the
perpetrator.)?
(d) What PROCESSES you would use at the scene (fingerprinting , blood
spatter expert ,foot wear analysis etc.)?
YOU WILL IDENTIFY :
(a) The conditional evidence present at the time of your arrival (weather
,doors open/closed , light switches on/off , windows open/closed etc.).
YOU WILL DRAW:
A FIELD SKETCH of the scene birdseye view flatpacked walls.
