No matter what type of sport organization you are in (pro, college, interscholastic, youth,
etc.), or about to be in, a Code of Ethics can be an essential part of an organization.
For this assignment you will write a code of ethics or creed for your current employer or
for the sport organization you are hoping to become employed in the near future. You
need to write clear and concise statements that should be left for interpretation (e.g, no
ambiguity) as much as possible to fit your organization. The learning modules have
provided excellent content for application to use in your document. Remember, as a
leader, you are setting the tone for behavior that will be accepted and not tolerated.

want the general public and your employees to know your organization’s ethical
philosophy and beliefs in order for you to conduct business with fairness and honesty. In
addition, it should be publicly known what punitive and corrective actions will be taken if
those ethical philosophies and beliefs are not followed.
