Choose a topic from the list and take a position on the issue. Then, in this thesis-driven paper, you are expected to take a stand on the controversial issue by responding to the following: 

1. Provide a summary of the issue. What is happening? Who is involved? When/where did it occur (or is it ongoing)? What is the current status of the issue?
2. Present between 2 distinct arguments for your position. Each argument should be backed up with appropriate supporting materials. 
3. Present at least 1 opposing view and refute that opposing view using appropriate supporting materials.
