We are examining Islam, from the perspective of Elijah Muhammad. He is the founder of the
Nation of Islam in America. This is a religion that is often considered militant. However, if
you look back in history many Black religious leaders have been given a negative label to
deflect people from listening to the “rhetoric” uttered from it’s ministers. In reality, anything
that enables Black people to better themselves and gain education related to their histories,
and spiritual backgrounds is often seen as something evil/demonic. “Anything you don’t
want me to know, is what I seek to know.”

the reading, and videos. A reflection paper is always in essay format. The length of the

message being conveyed in the book and videos; as well as your take- away. Remember if
you quote someone in your paper, give credit by citing them in your paper.
