Developmental Psychology – Truth or hindsight

There are a lot of theories about developmental psychology on how we grow and how we become who we are as adults and what we become later in life.  

BUT 

Most Developmental researchers are focused on studying adults and then looking at how their childhood shaped how they became who they are.   It is very hard to take a child use it to see how specific influences effect its life as it grows old.   

Based on the chapter and what we have learned so far in this class – just tell me what you think are the major influences in our lives as we grow?  Please give examples.
