ntroduction:
Your experiment is designed to test a prediction of some theory under a
particular set of circumstances. This theoretical prediction is the
hypothesis being tested. Explain this hypothesis by deriving it in
equation form from the theory. Be sure to explain what each variable in
the equation represents. It is not sufficient to simply write down the
equation and explain what each variable in the equation represents. You
must derive the equation from the theory.
If your experiment tests more than one hypothesis, be sure to derive
each hypothesis in equation form from the theory and explain what each
variable in each equation represents.
Your introduction must be written in your own words.
QUESTION 2
rocedure:
Explain in your own words how your experiment will test the hypothesis
or hypotheses. In other words, describe
a) the experimental setup,
b) what you will measure directly,
c) how you will make those direct measurements, and
d) how you will obtain your experimental result or results from those
direct measurements.
Your explanation should be understandable to a member of the physics
community who is not familiar with your experiment.
