My requirement is in a high standard because this is a personal statement for
masteràapplication. You need to review my resume and the following instructions
carefully, and then combine the vision & courses on the program websites. The
personal statement also need the your professional knowledge in Gender Studies.

In the first paragraph:
1. Start with a critical thinking/analysis of current hot topic in Gender Studies (you
may review the program websites for what events they focus on) )tàbetter to start
with a Gender injustice and discrimination topic in China or Japan, and then combine
with the worldwide topics.
2. Show my intention to pursue this program, and indicate my strengths.
3. My understandings of this program
In the second paragraph:
1. Provide my academic backgrounds and achievements (especially the Gender-Equal
Society and Education by Professor KAWANO Ginko at Yamagata University)
2. Reasons for me to change my major to gender studies, and qualification in addition
to my undergraduate degree. (Professor KAWANO Ginkoàlectures and my selflearning in gender studies promote me to pursue`Besides, Professor KAWANO
is the director of the International Society for Gender Studies lease indicate how
I decide to change my future path to gender studies by the motivation from
Professor KAWANO (think about one story)
3. Focus on my Bachelor’s Dissertation ” Research on Japan’s Declining Birthrate and
Aging Crisis – From the Perspective of Women ” how my thinking and skills in
this research. Because my background is not very sufficient in this field, Please

the Resume. Please make the experience more storytelling and vivid, so please
make it as a story including tasks, difficulties, achievements and the reflections after
the experience of gender equality, girl education and womenàempowering (want
to further study in Gender Studies) Please create and adjust some personal
experience appropriately

My short-term goal is to have a deeper understanding of this major, and to organically
combine the knowledge I learned in Japan and domestic practice with research. In the long
run, I want to continue to study for a Ph.D. in this field and continue to learn relevant
knowledge, which can contribute to solving the problem of aging and declining birthrate.
