OCU Thesis Statement and Annotated Bibliography
Description
For the final course assignment students will be writing a 20-25 source annotated bibliography, covering a focused area of research. Establishing a thesis statement or research questions to help frame your search for literature is highly encouraged. You may include readings from the course in your literature review should they help speak towards your research focus, but it is not required. Part of beginning to develop a focused project for yourself is to clearly define its boundaries and not trying to answer too big of a question. Assembling sources that would be helpful in addressing a research focus is an excellent place to start getting a sense of what others have written on a subject in order to focus your own inquiries.
I need a thesis statement; and 1 annotated bibliography source.
I want to write about how systems are designed to hold back ex-felons and why its wrong
Each source should include a full APA citation as it would appear in a works cited page/bibliography. Following each source, you are to create a 250-300 word summary. It is best to avoid long quotations in your summary. Focus on key concepts, theoretical frameworks, central arguments and research findings in the summary. The thought being that these can be used as quick references when writing a literature review for a future research project.
This assignment is also created as a skill-building exercise as you begin thinking about your SJHR Capstone Project.
