One standard interview question I would have for candidates interviewing for an Ambulatory Infusion Nurse at my facility is, how do you feel about teamwork in stressful environments. I would ask this question, because when you accept a position in our facility, orientation is quite different from what you experience once you get off orientation. Many times, on orientation you only receive up to four patients a day and you are allowed an hour and a half to two hours between each. Once you are off orientation you are expected to take one patient every hour and can receive up to nine patients a day. While doing this, you will have to stop pumps from beeping, assist your peers during emergent situations and even help to take vital signs when the Medical Assistants are busy.  Therefore, I would like to know how they feel about teamwork and hard work as well. Itàa fast-paced environment filled with team nursing. When the candidate is answering this question, I would expect them to answer that they don mind hard work and that they love to be able to assist their peers when needed. According to Findlaw 2018, facilitate open communication by immediately attempting to establish a rapport witht the candiddatre by breaking the ice, promoting a relaxed environment with free-flowing conversation
