1) For the first question letàrevisit the Hodgkin-Huxley model (file attached,
hhrun_sv3.m). Decrease the maximum K conductance to 26 (gK). Now run
the model using the following command: [V,m,h,n,t]=hhrun_sv3(20, 500, 65, 0, 0, 0, 0) and plot the results. Do you notice a difference between how
the neuron spikes with the new K conductance as opposed to the original
conductance (which was 36)? If so, why do you think there is a difference?
2) Increase the maximum K conductance to 46. Now run the model using the
following command: [V,m,h,n,t]=hhrun_sv3(20, 500, -65, 0, 0, 0, 0) and
plot the results. Do you notice a difference between how the neuron spikes
with the new K conductance as opposed to the original conductance (which
was 36)? If so, why do you think there is a difference?
3) Starting from the original model settings, increase the maximum Na
conductance to 150. Now run the model using the following command:
[V,m,h,n,t]=hhrun_sv3(20, 500, -65, 0, 0, 0, 0) and plot the results. Do you
notice a difference between how the neuron spikes with the new Na
conductance as opposed to the original conductance (which was 120)? If
so, why do you think there is a difference?
