NCAA bid for Tampa
Considering Tampa won the bid to host DII WomenàVolleyball Champions in the year
2021, our bid for DII WomenàVolleyball Champions 2023 is built on the awarded bid to host
WomenàVolleyball Championship, which has proved a success this far despite the unprecedented
challenges of COVID-19. However, the NCAA committee has been satisfied by our commitment
in meeting the COVID-19 safety measures. It is based on this trust that we hope that NCAA will
continue trusting us, and award our bid to host the event in 2023.
Regarding host contract, Tampaàbid for 2023 to host DII WomenàVolleyball
Championship includes the requisite cover agreement, negotiated terms and budget, bid response,
and confirmation documents from venue manager and supporting athletics director. Equally, key
contact information such as address, phone number as well as email address have been shared. The
marketing plan, though it has been advanced following the current won bid, more plans are to be
announced at TBD date, but there is every reason to believe in Tampa that our marketing plan will
be comprehensive and better. More importantly, we have built a robust emergency management
plan in ensuring the security and safety of all stakeholders in the current won bid as well as in the
future events. Also, we have made Hotel agreements to guarantee all the stakeholders of a
comfortable, friendly and safe accommodation during their stay in Tampa. Further, we have
procured a Certificate of Insurance in granting protection against accidents, liabilities, or injuries
during the event.
Tampa is hopeful that the NCAA committee will consider our bid, and we are ready to
cooperate with your deliberations and recommendations. Upon the announcement of host by
NCAA Committee, Tampa will stick to your recommendations and requirements, and remain
committed to coordinating with your committee regarding public and media discussions in case
we win or lose.
