NA NAGA – Unit 3 – Current State-of-the-Art: Machine Learning Part 1
Description
Hello,
Please do below tasks as per given guidelines
3.1 Prolog Environment
Using a Prolog environment, such as Amzi Prolog, create and test prolog clauses to perform the following goals (related to the parents.pro !tabase®bsp;that you will modify).
sister_of :®bsp;[modified so that it will not return a female as her own sister]
aunt(Aunt, Nephewneice) :- {your motherænbsp;or fatherænbsp;sister}
grandpa_of(Granddad, Grandperson) :- {your motherænbsp;or fatherænbsp;father}
any_thing :- [make up something interesting relating to families; it should not be similar to any of these rules, eg bother_of]
Use the format of facts and rules as found in the parents.pro file. In other words, you may add data if you wish for you own family, but leave the structure of functions and rules the same (and leave the original facts and rules in the file).
You may have to add additional facts and/or rules to the parents database to test your clauses. Upload your modified parents.pro file here.

3.3 Face detection and Face Recogniton difference
Investigate Face++ at https://www.faceplusplus.com/face-detection/
Feel free to browse to other similar sites
Explain the difference between face detection and face recognition. Give an example use of each in CS/IT.

3.5 Machine Learning
Speculate as to the use of machine learning in CS.
Think about the possible uses of machine learning in computer science. Speculate as to a good use of machine learning in some specific problem domain.
Choose an example machine learning system and then show,
1) why it is a good use of AI,
2) 2) state the tradeoffs between the use of the AI system versus using manual or traditional algorithmic methods to solve the problem, and
3) 3) discuss some of the knowledge representation and reasoning issues that will arise.

Local Prolog installation
AMZI Prolog is my recommendation – http://www.amzi.com/index.php
AMZI provides a rich tutorial also
http://www.amzi.com/AdventureInProlog/index.php
SWI Prolog is also a fine local environment – http://www.swi-prolog.org/
SWI provides a number of tutorials also

Online environments
There are a number of online prolog development environments. While installing
prolog locally on your machine using SWI-Prolog or AMZI Prolog provides the
richest experience, using an online environment is simpler.
