1. Which format would most effectively serve the needs of the students in this program? Include consideration of the space chosen for conducting the program.

Cubicles could be set up in the facilityàlarge meeting space. Each cubicle could be a designated station where specific parts of the examination would be conducted (Gavin, 2022). For example, a station is set up for patient history taking and vital signs assessment. And another station set up for the cardiovascular system assessment.

1. Which space would be most appropriate to use for the program and why?

With the expected volume of patients to be served, the facilityàlarge meeting space may need to be utilized to conduct the physical examinations. Conducting the sports physicals in the usual physician space does not seem practical if these exams were to be administered during normal office operating business hours. If the sports physicals could be offered on a weekend schedule or when the office is closed to regular patients and public, then it may work in the usual physician office space.

1. What are the drawbacks to the assembly-line format?

The drawbacks of the assembly-line format is that pertinent information may be missed or failed to be collected. Staff fatigue as well as patient fatigue from long wait time could contribute to information or details not being included.

1. Which physical examination focus points could the nursing staff and medical technicians be assigned to complete?

The nursing staff and medical technicians could gather the following patient information.

• Medical History hronic illnesses/conditions (asthma, heart murmurs, diabetes, etc.).
• Family History amily chronic illnesses/conditions (cardiac conditions, premature death).
• Medication List harmacological and nonpharmacological, herbal supplements including dosing and reason for usage. Patients should be questioned about any medications to gain/lose weight or to improve athletic performance (David & Kane, 2022).

1. When the practitioner is preparing to advertise the program being offered, the local newspaper asks the practitioner to identify three of the main objectives of the sports physicals for an article. How would the practitioner respond?

The main objective of a sports physical is to identify health conditions that predispose athletes to an increased risk of injury, illness, or even death due to engaging in physical activities (Davis & Kane, 2022). A sport physical serves as a screening tool to assess cardiovascular, neurological, and orthopedic health. In addition, sports physicals assess athleteànutritional status and mental health wellbeing (Davis & Kane, 2022).
