1. Each team should select 2 news articles about an increase or decrease in the price of a
product (chosen articles must be recent 7ithin the past 6 months).
2. Prepare a two-page analysis paper that includes the following:
? Summary of the article
? A well-labeled graph showing the supply and demand curves and equilibrium
price and quantity prior to the change.
? A well-labeled graph illustrating the shift in demand, supply or both curves, and
the change in the equilibrium price and quantity
? Answers to the following questions:
a) Explain the shifters and their causes.
b) Which curve(s) was/were shifted and to which direction?
c) What are the implications of the shift(s) on the prices and quantities?
3. Prepare a presentation discussing the articles and your analysis.
