There is a pool with base 6.1 m x 6.1 m. The height of the initial water level is 1.52 m. There
is a hole at the bottom of the pool. There were 10 days long precipitation, evaporation, and
water level measurement. How much is the daily volume of seepage?

Exercise 2: (2 marks)
In a catchment area, approximated by a circle diamater of 100 km, four rainfall stations are
situated inside the catchment area and one station is outside in its neigh-bourhood. Annual
precipitations recorded at the five stations in 1980 were provided. Determine the average
annual precipitation by the Thiessen- mean method.
Thiessen polygon area enclosing each station is identified. It may be noted that station 1 in this
problem does not have any area of influence in the catchment.
