Charles Perrault’s “Bluebeard” (1697) and The Brothers Grimm’s “The Robber Bridegroom” (1857) in The Classic Fairy Tales + Tatar’s “Introduction” to this section
responding critically to the two “Bluebeard” variants. You can consider the role of women, how marriage is depicted in the tales, how the tales we’ve read previously have dealt with young girls or young woman just on the cusp of marriageable age, whereas “Bluebeard” deals more specifically with marriage and women in relation to husbands, &c. Anything goes topic-wise, so long as you’re quoting from the tales, citing correctly, and being analytical in your response.
