Explain Homeostasis and its role as a Negative Feedback System.

Write out a specific example discussed in the lecture video, making sure to include and identify the Regulated Parameter, Sensor, Afferent pathway, Central Processor, Efferent pathway, and Effector of your specific example. I am not interested in a drawing, bullet points or outlines, but a written out answer to the question that makes sense and that is in chronological order.

Include both when the regulated parameter is too high and when the regulated parameter is too low. Hint: Body Temperature is the ONLY example you should be writing about right now, and you must discuss in separate paragraphs, what happens when body temperature is too high and what happens when body temperature is too low.

• There should be an opening paragraph explaining homeostasis in general and then two additional paragraphs explaining the specific example.
• I find that I must prompt writing organization in this course to help students write better and to help students do better on written assignments.
• Please follow the instructions carefully for consideration of full points. It is not about the quantity of your writing, but the quality. There is such a thing however, of not fully answering the question.
