Releases into production of software and deployment projects are common in IT. Project managers lead those efforts and use different methodologies depending on the organizationàneeds. Agile and Waterfall methodologies are used in project management. For software releases, agile methodologies are becoming the most prevalent to use. For Deployments of technology where there is a defined scope and not much prototyping involved, the Waterfall approach could be best. It is up to the organization and project management team to decide.
It is in this workshop that the reading of Chapter 13 is used for the purpose of highlighting areas of IT operations.
