Description of Network
Besides the diagram, here you should include a description of the network diagram, including
the types of equipment you will be purchasing and/or upgrading, the number of such hardware
devices, and the cost (if you can find it) of such devices. Make every effort to include REAL
devices. This descriptive paragraph (or paragraphs, or bullet lists) should go in this document.
Then the diagram should be placed in a separate file, such as Visio, draw.io (free),
PowerPoint, or Word. If you cannot fit the diagram in this document, thatàfine. If thatàthe
case, place the diagram in either (a) a Visio document (if you have Visio) or (b) in a PowerPoint
slide.
Note that if you use a PowerPoint slide, thatàNOT the 2esentation3lide(s).
You MUST describe the network and its topology. Although it states below that you should
try to find real devices and their prices, just doing that will NOT suffice. You MUST
describe the network as depicted in your diagram. Your written description must match or
adequately describe the network diagram.
Since you should be obtaining pricing on REAL devices, you should make every effort to
include references regarding where you found them. Like every other section, you should have
two to four sources, all as endnotes.
