Part 1: OTC Product and Diet
You are a nutrition professional. A client wants to lose weight, and tells you he/she is considering taking an over-the-counter (OTC) weight loss product. Discuss the risks of the OTC product, and explain why addressing weight through lifestyle changes is a better long-term solution. Next, design a sample one-day meal plan for your client with his/her weight loss goal in mind. Explain why/how you came up with the meal plan based on what you know about the client.
You choose: The specific OTC weight loss drug, and the clientàgender, age, weight loss goal, health issues, and dietary restrictions.
Be sure to provide at least two credible references to support your claims.
Part 2: Reflection
In a 100-word reflection please describe at least one specific weight-loss myth that can be detrimental to consumer weight-loss programming. Please provide at least one specific example of why consumers use methods for weight loss demonstrated in the myths today.
