For this assignment formal paper, you, identify and argue for a solution that you can take to a social issue/concern. The ïcial issue/concern®bsp;is your topic from your Unit 2 Reflective Annotated Bibliography. You, use research to look at possible solutions to this problem. Finally, you will address the best strategy that you, as a member of the community, can take to address this problem. You, write an argumentative paper (1250-1750 words). You must support your chosen strategy using strong evidence and clear ethical reasoning.

In order to succeed at this assignment, you will use the four relevant resources from the unit 2 major assignment (i dragged it down you can see it ).  But, you are welcome to use additional sources. We will talk about different strategies for persuasion throughout Unit 3, and especially the importance of blending facts, statistics, anecdotal examples, and relevant quotations as evidence. As with other assignments, you will need a title and header. You will also use MLA or APA for your citation style.

Letter to an Editor

One for your final major is a letter to the editor. While you will follow some specifications for a letter to the editor but not all. You, find a publication. You, find a local, statewide, or national angle. You can also include a personal connection to your subtopic. You, also use argument structure to include the main claim, evidence, and reasoning. You, also include some evidence of ethical reasoning. You will end with an ask. Your word count is 1250 – 1750 words. You can use the first person as this is a letter. As with other assignments, you will need a title, header, and cite your sources. You will use your four relevant sources from the last unit. You can also use additional sources.

Letter to a Legislator

If you choose to write to a legislator be sure to write to a real legislator using similar conventions of the Letter to an Editor.
