Astronaut Training (Working Title): An addictive mobile or web app that provides a set of games that are fun and easy to
play. We also want it to stimulate creative thinking, and spark awareness of/interest in astronomy. The app will be kid
friendly, but will be designed for all ages. The app will have the following components:
Œogon/Sign Up Interface: Provides an interface for users to create an account, or log on if they already have an
account.
ƒommunicator: This component has no interface. It runs on the useràdevice and sends them email messages
that are related to the app such as:
o A welcome message after they sign up
o An invitation to do /dayàChallenge¯ Congratulations when they complete an achievement, or move up a level
Œocal Database: This database will reside on the useràdevice and also has no user interface. Its purpose is to
store the useràdata including:
o Their user profile
o Game Scores
o Progress toward goals
”he Training Center (working title):
o Displays the information in the database (Useràname, scores, progress) on the screen
o Useràclick a game type and the program takes them to a game of that type
The Games: Each game should:
o have a short video introduction
o store the useràscore to the database

The Learning Center
o have a short video introduction
o A blog with a variety of learning materials similar to the NASA Learning Center
