The purpose of this project is to explore the roots of the female condition in
America and how they persist today.
Issues to consider:

You will be using The Scarlet Letter as your master text. There should be a
specific connection made from the text and your assigned issue. Please use
and cite the text in your project.
There are four parts to this assignment.
1. Write a 1 page typed explanation of why this is still a pressing issue today.
2. Find a relatable article or news report that depicts an example of your topic.
Read, annotate, make connections.
3. Create a short presentation (could be a one-pager, a video you create, artwork)
for class.
4. In class, we will reflect on your experience.
Dates: Your page-long explanation (#1) is due by 8:00 am on Friday, December 16th
