Grand Canyon University Theology and Divine Attributes Related to Love Essay
Description
Choose only one of the following divine attributes:
- Holiness
- Righteousness
- Patience
- Spirituality
Write an essay of 1,000-1,250 words in which the following is accomplished:
- Provide a brief and general summary of the biblical data that is relevant to this divine attribute. In other words, answer the question, “From Scripture, why should people think that God is _____?” You may find one to two Bible commentaries from the GCU Library helpful when completing this section.
- In reference to this attribute, describe patterns, themes, and Christian beliefs that emerge out of Scripture and theology. In other words, how does the idea that “God is _______” run throughout Scripture and Christian thought?
- Identify just one major theological difficulty that accompanies this divine attribute. “What problem might come along when individuals say that God is ______?”
- Identify the main options available in solving the problem you identified. Very briefly, in a few sentences for each, describe each solution. Then, in more detail, explain which solution you prefer, how it solves the problem, and why you consider it the best option. Use sources to back up your assertions.
In addition to the references found in your reading assignments, you should also reference the Bible and at least three other scholarly sources.
