Instructions: Assignment:For this essay we will be proposing a solution to the problem identified in Essay 1. Remember in the first Essay, you identified the largest problem facing your chosen field of research. This problem should be significant, with wide reaching effects, but should also be specific and timely. Be sure to keep your argument focused and coherent. It is important that your solution be unified by single thesis concept, clearly stated in the first couple of paragraphs of the essay. Continue your research as necessary, however, you may make use of any research and/or writing that you have done so far this semester in your first essay, your prospectus, and your annotated bibliography.
In your final draft, you must include some adequate description of the problem, a clear solution (either a simple or policy proposal), and some counter argument. You must also continue to make use of effective evidence including MLA cited quotations, summary/paraphrase, and relevant statistical data. This essay will be graded on its adherence to MLA style.
Finally, write a 2000 word (8 page) essay in response to the following prompt: Even though the problems that face us today may seem daunting and even irreversible, some action can be taken to improve or mitigate the damage done in the past. What can be done to help fix the problem that faces your area of research? Who should take action? What necessary steps must be carried out to see progress? What benefits would your solution provide? Why is your solution preferable over alternatives?
