for a project topic on sustainability of high-rise building in the united kingdom complete chapter 4 and 5
Description
1.1Introduction
In its entirety, this MSc thesis report will focus on the evaluation and assessment of sustainable energy for high-rise buildings in the United Kingdom. This current chapter provides a background to the study highlighting project aims, the significance of the study and giving an insight to the overall structure of the thesis report on completion.
1.2 Aims And Objective
1.2.1 AIM
The aim of this study is to perform an evaluation of energy efficiency for high-rise buildings in the United Kingdom with a focus on alternate sources of energy for high-rise buildings rather than conventional energy sources.
1.2.2 OBJECTIVES
To explain the concept of sustainability in high-rise buildings in the UK
Identify and evaluate energy sources for high-rise buildings in the UK
Perform a detailed comparison of traditional energy sources and sustainable options considering inputs and outputs
Evaluate the suitability of employing a smart grid in high-rise buildings
- Investigate the relationship between smart grid and high-rise building energy system
- The main need for chapter 4 is to identify an alternative source of energy for high-rise buildings in the UK and do a comparative quantitative analysis of conventional energy sources and alternative sources of energy. The focus is on the comparison of solar, hydro, and wind (as the alternative sources) and normal conventional sources. comparison criterion should be based on resilience, sustainability of option, and economic value.
