Description

1. Key social skills that children need to learn is being able to establish contact. Children should be able to know how to greet their peers and others. They should also know how to invite others to join them to do something. Another key skill is maintaining positive relationships by showing their undivided attention when speaking with others. Learn how to hold effective conversations by taking turns talking. Being able to answer the questions of another child with relevant responses. Children can also express affection and appreciation for others while being able to express their own emotions and needs constructively (Kostelnik, 2019). Positive relationships can also be built by children listening to the ideas and suggestions of others and offering their own ideas and suggestions.

Resolving disagreements is another key social skill because children are able to settle conflicts with others without hurting them. They can come up with solutions and accept solutions that have been advised. They also learn how to compromise with each other and can control any angry outbursts. Children also learn how to acknowledge the mistakes that they have made and forgive others for their mistakes.
2. Children develop a sense of social responsibility by prosocial interactions like cooperating, helping, comforting, encouraging, and taking care of each other (Kostelnik, 2019). Children work together to achieve a common goal or alleviate another childàdistress that helps create social communities where friendly exchanges and productive group efforts multiply (Kostelnik, 2019). In these type of environments children seem to be kinder to each other and don tend to resort to hurtful behavior. Children have to learn how to recognize when someone is in need of help and then they can be able to act appropriately on what they should do next.

Children have to learn how to act appropriately if they decide to act. If they do decide to help someone they usually base their decision on if it is someone they know or admire, or if it is someone that have been nice to them before. Especially if it is child that is viewed as helpful or cooperative they will believe that whatever actions they take will matter (Kostelnik, 2019). Children that take actions in helping someone are good with solving problems because they can come up with meaningful solutions to a problem.
3. By valuing and respecting human diversity people treat differences among individuals and groups as natural and positive (Kostelnik, 2019). All people are treated as worthwhile and aren swayed by different stereotypes. They are able to recognize that share some characteristics although they have different backgrounds. This helps children build positive relationships with their peers without passing judgement. Children are able to become acquainted with different customs and beliefs they aren familiar with (Kostelnik, 2019). When children accept that not everyone is the same, they are able to socialize with others without offending them.

Socialization children demonstrate the ability to understand, accept, and follow rules and routines. Social Responsibility children demonstrate civic responsibility. Social Studies children differentiate between things that happened long ago and things that happened yesterday.

Explain how children develop a sense of social responsibility and its importance to social development. Children develop a sense of responsibility by the teacher creating caring classrooms in which children experience and practice prosocial behavior and in which they learn to care for the natural world. When the child has developed social responsibility, it shows that they are ready to achieve development.

Explain how valuing and respecting human diversity integrates all four dimensions of the social domain. Respecting human diversity gives the child a chance to realize that each child is different. When a child can identify something that another child deals with their culture they have for instant. If the teacher has a lesson on Indian games and one of the kids, ask the Indian student do they want to play the game at recess.
