Cuyamaca College Data Entry and Computations In SPSS Worksheet
Description
You are responsible for completing some of the chapter questions at the end of the assigned textbook chapters by hand.
You are also responsible for completing data entry and computations in SPSS. You may complete the analyses covered in the SPSS video tutorials (located in the module) or use SPSS to calculate problems from the chapter questions at the end of each chapter in the textbook. Most students do a combination of both.
Part 1:
Please take pictures of 2 to 3 pages of by-hand homework completed from the questions at the end of this week’s assigned chapters.
Part 2:
Please take 2 to 3 screenshots of work completed in SPSS this week.

Correlation
Correlation is the
relationship between
two variables
whereby a change in one
variable is associated
with a concurrent
change in the other.
Correlation
? Measured as to direction and
the degree of association.
Scatterplot is a graph with plotted
values for two variables that are
being compared.
Variable 1
Plot the
corresponding
values of X and Y.
Variable 2
X = 62, Y = 100
Examine the Correlation Trends

r2
The part of variance of one variable that can be
explained by the variance of a related variable.
Why does the critical value
of r increase as sample
size decreases?
