Open Budget Worksheet and put your name in the header
Decide your job and location and enter it
Enter your Take Home Salary and add comments and/or assumptions
Create your drop down lists for each and all Essential Expenses categories
See examples for the first three; Housing, Transportation and Food
Use the drop down topics on the right of the budget worksheet
Enter your budget for each topic and add comments and/or assumptions
Create formulas for each Category Subtotal that sums the topic amounts
For example, the subtotal for Transporation is $320
Create formula for Essential Expenses Total
See example, the total is $5,700
Repeat steps 4-7 for the Non-Essential Expense
You must create you own Non-Essential Expense topics in the drop down lists
Create formula for the Balance = Income-All Expenses
Adjust budgets until you have a balance of $0
