in alone. All students in the group get the same grade.
You are required to submit the following.
1. Discuss the importance of linear programming (LP) in managerial decision making.
(About 500 words)
2. Describe functions (like finance, marketing, production, supply chain management etc.)
in which LP can be used. (About 1,000 words)
3. Find examples of actual applications. You may do google search to find appropriate
examples. Do not copy and paste. Use your own language. Give the sources of the
material used. Also include appropriate tables and figures if available. Describe a
minimum of three examples. What were the objective functions, constraints and the final
results? Length: On an average, about 1,500 words for each example.
4. Include the list of references.
Other Specifications: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5
Note: You can also work independently. The requirements of items # 1, # 2, and # 4, given
above, do not change. However, for item # 3, you have to give a minimum of one example. You
may give more examples if you wish.
