Bronx University Newtons Laws Paper
Description
Newtonà1st Law: An object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.
Newtonà2nd Law: Describes the changes in net force and their effect on the body; acceleration of the body depends on the mass of the body and net force acting/applied on the body.
Newtonà3rd Law: If two bodies exert forces on each other, these forces will be the same in magnitude and opposite in direction &or every action thereàan equal but opposite reaction.
Newtonà3rd law can be used to explain rocket launches. The thrust is generated by the rocketàpropulsion system. As the engine burns the propellant (solid or liquid that has mass), it is accelerated through the propulsion system and expelled out of the rocket producing a force. The thrust is the reaction force of the force generated by expelled gas &or every action, thereàan equal but opposite reaction. The thrust acts opposite to the weight (mg) of the rocket, enabling lift-off.
Briefly research one of NewtonàLaws and describe how it can be applied in science or engineering. Provide references.
Write a q page summary of your findings and explain everything in detail (11-point Arial font, single-spaced); you may use any relevant equations and include drawings and/or diagrams.
