Description
This week you have a PowerPoint to review that has a list of topics that are emerging or current issues for international aviation. Your assignment this week is to post in the discussion board on one emerging or current issue. You can use topics from the PowerPoint list or you can select your own topic.
I also need to reply to 2 students in this discussion board.
Tyler Harr:
Personally, I think adaptability is a big issue regarding to the ever-changing environment that the aviation industry provides. The airlines and flight crew staff have suffered in these past two years from covid. This has crippled the aviation industry and many other industries as well. Airports and airlines need to work together to create solutions to help combat different threats suck as an epidemic to keep the ball rolling so that people don’t have to lose their jobs. And industries abroad and at home can stay afloat during such an event.
Brittany LaPor:
A huge issue I have been working on most of the semester revolves around the environment and going green or sustainable. Specifically, anti-icing and deicing fluids enter the runoff from airports and get into groundwater and surface water. There are a lot of new and improved technologies that can help reduce the pollutants we are putting into the water and the ground, but some of the latest technology is now taking up a lot of power. This is a problem no matter which way we turn. Going green and going sustainable will become a massive issue for us in the near future. This also ties into being adaptable, one of the most significant emerging issues that aviation will always face as it is such a fast-moving and changing industry.
