Both case studies in this weekàreading assignment were about how BMW and Southwest Airlines leveraged advanced analytics methods to improve business outcomes (reduce operating costs, shorten product development time, increase revenue, etc.). Using the two case studies as examples, discuss the role of how advanced analytics methods can be leveraged to analyze an organization’s data with the goal of gaining insights into their ability to predict future outcomes, drive efficiency, and gain competitive advantage.
