Job Duties:
The Director of Zoo Fundraising will be responsible for all aspects of obtaining
funds for the zoo. Funding must be solicited from public and private entities.
The Director will oversee a staff of two employees who are assigned to work
part-time in the ZooàFinance Office. The Director must apply for grants, plan
and execute fundraising activities in the community and use creativity to
develop new sources of revenue. The Director will also be responsible for
creating and maintaining a new dopt a Zoo Animal$onor program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a bacheloràdegree in business, finance, accounting or
related field. All applicants must have 3-5 years of experience in a position where
the applicant was responsible for raising funds for a large non-profit facility open
to the public.
Applicant must have previous supervisory experience including enforcement of
time and attendance, employee evaluations and training.
Applicants must have experience writing grants and submit a copy of a successful
grant application written by the applicant.
Preferred Qualifications
A masteràdegree in business administration and prior experience working for a
zoo or large animal non-profit is preferred.
