The Role of a School Administrator
Administrators are called upon to deliver effective supervision and insightful guidance and leadership to the programs they serve. An administrator’s knowledge skills are increasingly recognized as essential components of quality. Administrators are responsible for program budget, conserving continuousness of the program philosophy and curriculum, facilities, supervising staff, enrolling children, meeting codes established by state and local agencies, communicating with parents and the community. Administrators must guarantee the quality of the program they serve. The administrators set the tone for the program and are the connection between parents, caregivers, and the community. Administrators have the responsibility to ensure the quality of the program they serve (Discroll & Nagel, 2008; Izzet Dos & Ahmet Cezmi Savas, 2015).
