What are the requirements for the Social Media Campaign?
Depending on the social media platform you choose to use, you, have slightly different requirements. Broadly, the Campaign will:
- Integrate digital multimodal features, including photos, videos, links, tags, etc.;
- Compose all posts from the organization you represent (not from yourself or replies from other individuals or organizations);
- Innovate use of the social media platformàfeatures;
- Consider formatting, layout, and design;
- Build upon what you expect users of the platform to already know about your organization;
- Draw upon the experience and credentials of the industry professional;
- Integrate an understanding of the fictional company, product, and/or service;
- Appeal to your intended and actual audience;
- Craft concise, vivid language;
- Use original content or cite sources separately from your posts;
- Create a sense of style, voice, and/or branding.
Upload your work in a word document or, if necessary, link to something like a private YouTube video for larger files. Indicate somewhere the social media you¥ chosen.
What social media can I use? Do I need to post there?
You don need to create an account for your posts, though you should be prepared to mimic the modality used there; for instance, if you create a series of posts for Twitter, you, want to create paragraphs of 280-characters or less each. For video-based platforms such as TikTok, include a script or caption your videos. Specific requirements per platform include:
Twitter, or another microblogging site:
- Create a (read/f 5-10 linked Tweets with multiple images, videos, or links;
- Format posts of up to 280-characters, including spaces, links, emojis, and punctuation (for non-Twitter sites, pay attention to length); and
- Use the username and handle (@) of your organization.
TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, or Snapchat:
- Create one or more short videos up to three minutes in total length;
- Consider the age and general demographic makeup of your target audience;
- Use subtitles/captions or include a script along with your videos.
Facebook:
- Include one or more posts of any length each;
- Use both text and images/videos in your posts; consider emojis, links, short videos, and tagging users;
- Add dates to your posts for a sense your projectàtimeline.
Instagram:
- Create one post with multiple images or videos and a caption;
- Consider hashtags, tags, sponsorships, and other common features; and
- Use photos and flyer- or infographic-like visuals with additional inform
