Description

DIET ANALYSIS

To access this software, click on the iProfile tab in Wiley Plus. There is also a link for a tutorial.
I strongly encourage you to review this tutorial. After you have viewed the tutorial, as a first
step, click on Create Your Profile. Here, you will enter some basic information about yourself
such as your height, weight, etc. Once you have entered this information, click on the tab Food
Journal. Here, simply begin entering all the foods you ate that day for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner,
and Snacks in the Search box, and select the closest match. Once you¥ entered all the foods,
simply click on the next date in the calendar, and enter all foods for Day 2. Then, do the same for
Day 3. You should do this for a total of 3 days. After you¥ entered all the foods for all 3 days,
you should click on the tab Reports. (these are just my instructions which I included so you understand how I got to the results. I have completed of these lab reports which I will put at the bottom of this)

You will see a variety of different reports. However, you
will only need the following reports for this project: 1. Macronutrient Distribution, 2. Intake
Compared to DRI, and 3. Energy Balance. Before you click on each report, make sure to click
on Select Start and End Days to Average Your Report for all three days.

In order to receive all 100 points for this assignment, you will need to upload the above 3 reports
on Wiley Plus. Based on these reports, you will also need to respond to a set of questions and
upload a WORD document on Wiley Plus as well. Word limit for last question must be
followed to avoid losing points.
Q 1: What percent of the total calories you consumed, is from carbohydrates? Use the
Macronutrient Distribution report (be sure to include all 3 days).

compare with the DRI recommendations for Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Ranges
(AMDRs) for carbohydrate? Use the Intake Compared to DRI report (be sure to include all 3
days).

your own daily food choices. What are they? Explain. Think about the following as you write
your response (2000 words):
