Final Assignment

Goals of this assignment:
(1) to use your OED skills, knowledge of English history, and morphemes.
(2) to enhance your vocabulary.
For this assignment, you will analyze three separate morphemes.

Part I – Analysis of a prefix
(1) Choose a prefix from the box below. You will use this prefix for all of Part I.

native English (going back to Germanic) or a borrowed affix? If there is more than one OED entry for

surprises you?
