Term Paper Assignment
For this assignment, you will be writing a minimum 2-page essay describing why you chose
Biomedical Engineering as your major, what you learned in this course and in your
undergraduate experience so far, and how will you implement what you¥ learned in your
future. An excellent essay will follow all guidelines and requirements such as essay length,
formatting, spacing, layout, sections, headings, etc.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to be intentional and state your reasoning and defend
your position on why BMEN is right for you and how it will help you reach your goals in the
future. Your paper should include things like topics in BMEN you covered in the lecture
including guest speakers, assignments you¥ worked on and what you learned from them, labs,
and new technical skills you gained from them.

Everything should be in Times New Roman font.
Font size should be 12 pts everywhere, except for the title and section headings.
Line spacing should be 1.08.

Use your own headings for each section. Headings should be in Times New Roman, font
size 14, and bold.
Follow the template layout.
Include title page, running header with your name, and running footer with page number.
Title page should include your own title in Times New Roman font 18, your name on
next line in font 12, school name in third line font 12, class number and section in fourth
line font 12, and professor name in fifth line font 12 (see the template).
Use APA format for any references used, all work must be individual, and no copying is
tolerated.
Essay length is minimum 2 pages excluding the title page and reference list.
Essay should have well-organized ideas, be free of any grammatical or spelling errors,
use concise vocabulary, have full sentences without run-ons, and essay should have a
smooth and logical flow.
Failing in following the format requirements will result in zero grade.
