In this exercise, you will practice finding or creating a graphic (e.g., a table, image, diagram,
photo). You will apply the PITCH guidelines to properly title the table or figure.
Here are the guidelines:
The title of a table is placed above the table, like this:
Table 1. Traffic Light Logic Table
IF
Traffic light is red
Traffic light is yellow
Traffic light is green

A photo, image, diagram, plot, graph (anything except a table) is labeled as a Figure, and the
title is placed beneath it, as a caption. If the figure is not original, cite the source (e.g, URL or
photo credit) under the caption, like this:

Complete these 2 Graphics Exercises in a Word Document and submit the file to this

Exercise 1: Create a table to solve the logic puzzle below. Give the table a title, following the
Graphics Guidelines.
Here is the logic puzzle:
Software A is compatible with hardware 1 and hardware 2, but is not compatible with hardware
3. Hardware 1 is compatible only with software A. Software C is compatible with hardware 2
and hardware 4. Software B is compatible with hardware 2, but is not compatible with
hardware 5. Software A is compatible with hardware 5. Software E is compatible with hardware
4 and hardware 3. Software D is compatible with hardware 3 and hardware 5.
Exercise 2: Find an image or photo related to a topic you learned about in CSCI 1109. Copy the
image into a Word Document. Follow the Graphics Guidelines for captioning the Figure with a
title. Be sure to credit the source. See the example in the Graphics Guidelines.
