Sept. 20, 2019

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/20/business/walmart-vaping-e-cigarette-sales.html

The New York Times reported that as vaping-related lung illnesses continue to rise, federal and state health departments are investigating the risks.  In September 2019, Walmart announced that it would stop selling e-cigarettes at its stores in the United States.  This announcement is a blow to the vaping industry, as concerns mount over the health risks of the products and their soaring popularity among teenagers.

éven the growing federal, state and local regulatory complexity and uncertainty regarding e-cigarettes, we plan to discontinue the sale of electronic nicotine delivery products,®bsp;Walmart announced in a statement.

After viewing the PowerPoint and incorporating what you learned regarding the steps in moral decision-making and how it is different from everyday decision-making, describe what in your opinion, Walmart should have done, if anything, in response to the increase societal concern about vaping-related lung illnesses, particularly in light of the popularity of vaping among teenagers.
