This discussion will focus on continued escalation of attacks, pointing back to the supply chain as a way to infiltrate once larger companies had tighter security defences. If we tighten the controls for the supply chain, whatænbsp;the next vector? Is it social? How do we improve defenses for the supply chain (smaller organizations)? How do we bolster education against social engineering?

Devise a threat management strategy given a specific attack type such as phishing, lateral movement in APT, surveillance, DDoS, etc. Select a single attack type, list current defenses. Then propose emerging or futuristic security controls that may increase the costs for an attacker in this ongoing tussle. A minimum of 4 new defenses should be proposed and may be at different layers of the network architecture. Present your threat management strategy in succinct, bulleted lists. Your total submission should be 250 words or less.

attacks. They are becoming more efficient at exploring and exploiting vulnerable areas to gain
access to personal data and information. In the previous year, 2021, phishing was the primary
attack by cybercrime attackers. People’s and organization information have been stolen. Some of
this personal information has been accessed from companies by attackers whose motive is to ask

In the United States, more than 2.8 million citizens in 2021 reported fraud cases, with
more than $5.9 billion lost to cybercriminals (Statistics, 2021). The cyberattack increase rate is
alarming, and there is a need for this issue to be addressed in this country. This year, we have
researched and prepared this report to help you and your organization establish effective
approaches to prevent phishing attacks. We believe that there are steps the state should take to
ensure that organizations and telecommunication service providers must undertake to ensure that
customers’ and people’s information is protected from landing in the wrong hands. This is why
the reports are designed to provide the state with the current cybercrime state and the reason
behind increased phishing. Reform of the existing surveillance law, policies, and practices
should be the debate to ensure that our law on this issue is at par with the changes in technology
and communication.
