A large emphasis of this course is placed on the student becoming proficient with the operation and application of equipment found in an applied physiology laboratory. The same applies for advanced techniques utilized in fitness testing. A comprehensive procedures manual should be compiled on an ongoing basis. As procedures and equipment are being mastered it is expected that students will compile detailed notes regarding their operation and application. A well-organized, comprehensive, stand-alone procedures manual will be the end result. It should be arranged into logical sections and include all instructions, data collection forms, computer files (or at least screenshots) that you deem necessary. A professional cover page, table of contents, glossary of terms, and appendices are all components of the manual. Final submission of the procedure manual will be two-fold: a PDF version uploaded to Canvas and an identical hard copy (in some form of folder/binder). This is a significant document to preparet is suggested you seek verification of the quality of your product on an ongoing basis.
