CCJ Writing Question
Description
Prompt: According to the table, you will need to write a paragraph to summarize the results of your analysis. Your summary should pay attention to interpreting the mean of each variable (for example, what is the average fear of crime composite score for the analysis sample, and what does it tell you about the average adultænbsp;fear of crime in the university area neighborhood? What is the average age of participants in the analysis sample? What percentage of the analysis sample self-reported being a victim in the past?)
As you begin to summarize your findings, remember what the mean for a binary or dichotomous variable coded 0/1 represents. Moving the decimal place of the mean to the right two places tells us the percentage of those who are 1s on that particular variable. For example, if sex is coded 0 = female and 1 = male and the mean for sex is .35, this tells us that 35 percent of the analysis sample is male (because males are coded 1)
